Better Resolution in Digital and Film
Everyone wants crisper, clearer pictures with better color. I know. I hear the request many times every day! Improving the resolution of your photos (the amount of fine detail) is a lofty, yet quite attainable goal for every photographer.
What's Easiest?
Best Quality settings on your new digital camera will vastly improve your picture quality. Choose the maximum amount of pixels, Fine JPG compression, the lowest ISO setting and Adobe RGB color to capture the best image quality. Yes, you get fewer pictures per memory card, but they will capture finer detail.
Better film is more important than most family snap-shooters believe! Choosing Kodak, Fuji, Agfa or Ilford professional film makes a huge difference in your picture quality. Better color, finer grain and improved resolution are all the hallmark of pro films. For color prints try a roll of Fuji Reala 100, NPH 400 or Kodak Portra 400vc and see the difference!
Better prints are crisper to view and longer lasting. Whether you are a film or digital photographer using a "pro lab" will vastly improve your picture quality. Bring in your slide, negative, memory card or files on CD and see the difference for yourself!
Tougher Choices!
Best techniques will almost always lead to better picture quality. Learning to hold your camera properly, choose the right exposure setting and use the right light will make better pictures, guaranteed! Getting closer to your subject, filling the frame and telling a story with your photos will make for photos that are more enjoyable to view and make long lasting memories!
Better Equipment may be warranted if all else fails! Better quality lenses and better quality camera will always produce a fine quality image, all else being equal. Treat yourself to better optics where color, resolution and detail are needed. Think about a new camera when your "box" will not capture the photos you desire.
